Hocus Pocus @ BE

BE Secret Holiday Workshop

It’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus… at BE!

We’re bringing a little witchy fun to the studio for a special two-hour youth experience. Young makers will create their own Black Flame Candle and Potion Bottle Room Spray, with music, games and a visit from three familiar witches adding to the fun. Costumes are welcome, and we’ll make time for pictures before the spell is broken.

BE Secret Holiday Workshop

Shhh… we’re making something special. At BE's Secret Workshop.

Each young maker will choose someone special and create a two-product BE gift collection just for them. Then they’ll visit our wrapping station to package their creations and keep the surprise hidden until it’s time to give. It’s an afternoon of making, giving and holiday fun!

BE Lab is a creative space made just for middle schoolers.

Each Lab brings a new theme and hands-on experiences to choose from—fragrance, body products, candles, accessories, seasonal projects and plenty of opportunities to make it their own.

This week, everyone creates two café-inspired favorites.

Hot Drink Candle
Create a specialty candle designed to look like your favorite cozy drink. Choose Hot Chocolate or Latte, then customize your fragrance and finishing touches.

Café Lip Scrub
Whip up a sweet lip scrub inspired by hot chocolate or coffee.

Choose two of three Halloween-inspired experiences.

Hidden Message Candle
Create a candle with a secret surprise waiting to be discovered as it burns.

Scented Mini Broom
Create a decorative mini broom using dried oranges, lemons, cinnamon and seasonal elements, then add fragrance and take it home to hang in your room.

Mystery Scent + Spray
Put your nose to the test with a mystery fragrance challenge, then use your favorites to create your own scented spray.

And because it wouldn't be Potions + Mysteries without a surprise, every maker will receive a mystery charm or special element to add to their experience.

Mini Candle Gift
Choose a fragrance with your recipient in mind, create their candle and personalize the label.

Body Care Gift
Create a custom body product, choosing the fragrance and finishing touches especially for them.

Make two candles, two body products or one of each.

Then head to our Gift It! Wrapping Station to add labels, gift tags, tissue, ribbon and all the finishing touches.

You'll leave BE with two handmade gifts wrapped and ready to give.

Science gets a little more creative at BE!

Creative Science combines hands-on making with curiosity and discovery. Each month, we'll start with something to wonder about, jump into creating, and then discover the science behind what we made.

Expect plenty of mixing, measuring, experimenting, fragrance, color, and hands-on fun.

Because sometimes the best way to understand science is to make something with it.

Two Ways to Join Us

A daytime Creative Science experience created especially for homeschool students ages 8+.

3rd Tuesday of the Month | 3:30–4:30 PM

Bubble Lab

What makes all those bubbles?

Get ready to mix, squish and experiment!

We'll create Bubble Bath and one of our kid favorites—Bubble Bath Playdough. Choose your colors and fragrances and see how different ingredients can completely change the way a product looks, feels and behaves.

We'll wrap up by discovering what makes bubbles happen and the science behind all that squishy, bubbly fun.

Lip Lab

What makes a gloss glossy, a balm solid and a scrub... scrubby?

We're taking a closer look at some of our favorite lip products—and making all three!

Create your own Lip Gloss, Lip Balm and Lip Scrub, customizing your creations along the way.

Then we'll discover how ingredients like oils and waxes work together to create completely different textures, consistencies and finishes.

Scent Science

Just how good is your nose?

Put your sense of smell to the test!

We'll start with a Mystery Scent Challenge before exploring different fragrance families and discovering which scents you're naturally drawn to.

Then become the fragrance scientist and formulate a scent that's completely your own. Blend it, test it, adjust your formula, give it a name and turn it into your own custom fragrance spray.

We'll wrap up by discovering how our noses and brains work together to recognize scent—and why two people can smell the same fragrance differently.

Fizz Lab

What makes a bath bomb fizz?

It's time for a little fizzy chemistry!

We'll experiment with what happens when certain ingredients meet and investigate what can make a reaction faster, slower or fizzier.

Then use what you've discovered to create and customize your own bath bombs with your choice of fragrance and color.

We'll wrap up by uncovering the chemistry behind that famous fizz.

You & Me at BE is a creative hour for children and their grown-ups to make something side by side. Each month brings a new seasonal theme, a BE product to create, and a playful activity to enjoy together.

Expect plenty of mixing, choosing colors and fragrances, making, and showing off what you created.

Because the best thing you’ll make together might be a memory..

Join us for a gingerbread-inspired morning! Make a festive foaming hand soap together, then decorate a gingerbread-person ornament to take home.
