Product prices vary based on what you create: based on the containers for candles the amount of wax, soap, or products made—so you’re in full control of your project and budget. 

Explore the history and art of perfumery as you discover fragrance families and identify the scents you love most. 

With guidance from our instructor, you’ll explore notes from floral and fruity to woody and spicy, then blend top, middle and base notes to create a perfume or cologne that’s uniquely yours.

Discover how traditional cold-process soap is made from scratch in this hands-on class at The Blended Essentials.

Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through the soap-making process as you learn about oils, sodium hydroxide (lye), fragrance, measuring, mixing and the science behind turning individual ingredients into soap. 

  You'll choose your fragrance and customize your creation while learning the proper techniques and safety practices needed to make cold-process soap.  By the end of class, you'll have created approximately 40 ounces of your own handcrafted soap. 

Your soap will remain at BE overnight to begin setting. It will then be ready to cut and take home, where it will continue curing for approximately 4–6 weeks before use.

Our Advanced Cold Process Soap Making workshops are designed for returning BE soap makers who want to expand their skills, explore artisan techniques and gain a deeper understanding of the science behind the soap-making process.

Led by our experienced soap instructor, whose background includes master's- and doctoral-level training in science, these small-group workshops go beyond the fundamentals to explore a featured soap-making technique.

Depending on the workshop, you may explore techniques such as swirling, layering, embeds, color design, botanicals, texture and more complex artisan designs.

You'll create approximately 40 ounces of your own artisan cold-process soap, incorporating the featured technique taught during your workshop.

Participants must have previously completed a Basic Cold Process Soap Making class at The Blended Essentials before registering for an Advanced class.
